Test
The idea as well as the name for Kailar Filters came into being in 2015, how different it should be, with a few joints. Normally we used tips as filters, but the advantages of activated carbon filters slowly spread around in our circles. We asked ourselves: How about producing our own filters according to our ideas?
The idea first came back to mind because we were still busy with our Abi at this time. In late summer 2018, Lea came up with the proposal to make herself independent. The decision was quick and so it was directly up to the planning.
In order to meet the capital needs for our project, we used our savings as well as loans from friends and family. Thus, the company Kailar could be founded.
The first Kailar filter did not actually come from Germany, but from China. However, the quality of the samples disappointed us, so we had to find a way to produce our own filters. Fortunately, we succeeded in doing so, so that we could start selling our self-produced cellulose activated carbon filters in the summer of 2019.
2018
Start of the Kailar Filters project
The idea was, now it was up to the implementation. The end of the year was characterized by Google searches, YouTube videos and tests.
2019
Setting up a company
At the beginning of the year we founded the Kailar UG (limited to liability), its headquarters - the parental home.
The sale started in August with a visit to the Hanfparade in Berlin.

2020
New products as well as new office
In the middle of the year we expanded our headshop range to include our own clipper and the first cellulose activated carbon filters in black. Both real eye-catchers!
At the end of the year, we were due to move to our first office.

First/Employees
At the beginning of 2021, we were able to hire the first employees in our company. They have been actively supporting us in production, packaging and brightening our daily office.
2022
First visit to the trade fair
The highlight of the year was the visit to Germany's largest hemp fair, the Mary Jane in Berlin. For three days we presented our products and had a great time. We will be back!
